MOONSET

Terms of Use

Last updated September 18, 2026

Moonset is made by one person. This is the plain version of the deal: you get to play the game, and you accept that it is software, not a promise that nothing will ever go wrong.

Who you are agreeing with

Moonset is developed and published by Mason (LeShan) Chen, an independent developer trading as masn.studio. By installing or playing Moonset you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

Your licence

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play Moonset on devices you own or control. You may not sell, rent, or redistribute the app, or remove its notices. Reverse engineering is only permitted where the law says it cannot be restricted.

Price

Moonset is free. It has no in-app purchases and no ads.

Playing with others

Online play runs through Apple's Game Center, and Apple's own terms apply to it. A board you draw, and the name you give it, is shown to the people you play it with. Keep both lawful and fit for the people you are playing with.

Changes to the game

Moonset is actively developed. Things may be added, changed, or removed, and iOS updates can break things outside my control.

Privacy

Moonset collects no personal data. The privacy policy is part of these terms.

No warranty

Moonset is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. I do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Moonset. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid for Moonset in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Apple

These terms are between you and me, not Apple. Apple has no responsibility for Moonset or its content and no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of Moonset must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Ending it

You can stop at any time by deleting the app. This licence ends if you break these terms. The sections about warranty and liability survive.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. If you are a consumer somewhere with stronger local protections, this does not take those away.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. Continuing to play after that means you accept the change.
